Thank you for supporting the Chicago Muslim Medical Alliance. Your generosity helps fund education, mentorship, community outreach, and relief work for Chicago and communities in crisis around the world. This Donor Policy explains how we handle your gifts and protect your trust.
CMMA is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization. Our EIN is [XX-XXXXXXX]. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
We are committed to using funds responsibly and for the purposes described on our Website.
Designated gifts. When you choose a specific cause on our donation form (for example Sadaqah, Earthquake, Floods, Children Education, Orphan, Doctors to Save Life, Refugees, Food Supply, Medication Supply, or Build a Masjid), we will use your gift for that cause.
Flexibility of use. If a campaign is fully funded, or if it becomes impossible or impractical to use funds as designated, CMMA may redirect the gift to a similar charitable purpose that best matches the donor’s original intent. If you select “Other” or make no designation, your gift will support CMMA’s general programs and operations where the need is greatest.
Administrative costs. A reasonable portion of donations may be used to cover fundraising, administrative, and operational expenses needed to run our programs and deliver aid effectively.
If you choose a recurring donation:
Donations are generally non-refundable. If you made a donation in error (such as a wrong amount or a duplicate charge), contact us within 30 days of the transaction at cmma1871@gmail.com and we will review your request. Refunds for event tickets are subject to the terms stated at the time of purchase.
With your permission, we may thank donors at events or in our communications. If you prefer not to be recognized, let us know and we will respect your wishes.
All online donations are processed through secure, trusted third-party payment providers. CMMA does not store your full card or bank details.
We accept cash, credit/debit card, and other approved payment methods. Gifts of stock, property, or other non-cash assets, and large gifts with special conditions, must be discussed with us in advance. CMMA reserves the right to decline any gift that conflicts with our mission, values, or legal obligations, or that would place an unreasonable burden on the organization.
